10.1 Living Monuments

“In the biological logic of the old era, individuals are temporary; only genes are eternal. We desperately reproduce to pass the baton to the next generation because we know we will eventually fall. But at iteration 1800, when we open the path to immortality in the Outer Ring, this ancient intergenerational contract becomes void. We no longer need children to see the future for us; we ourselves are the future. We are no longer runners passing torches; we become the burning torch itself.”

In the final chapter of Volume VI, we will explore a most sensitive yet unavoidable topic: when death is technically overcome, when consciousness can iterate continuously across cycles, what qualitative transformation will humanity’s oldest mission—Reproduction—undergo?

Living Monuments

From the perspective of Vector Cosmology, this is a great transformation from “horizontal inheritance” to “vertical inheritance”.

The End of Intergenerational Transfer: More Than Declining Birth Rates

The widespread decline in modern birth rates is often explained by economists as high living costs. But from a physics perspective, this is inevitable in civilizational evolution.

In the first octave (matter) and second octave (biology), information carriers (DNA/flesh) are extremely fragile with poor anti-entropy capability. To preserve information, nature evolved the “replication strategy”: since carriers are destined to break, create a new copy before they break.

This is the essence of having children: fighting time with quantity.

But when we enter the third octave (consciousness/light-based), carrier stability undergoes a qualitative leap.

  • Information Error Correction:The Outer Ring’s quantum error correction codes can ensure consciousness data remains undistorted for billions of years.

  • Carrier Replacement:Through the “Hot Migration Protocol,” we can freely replace aging flesh or live directly in photon networks.

When individuals no longer wear out, “replication” becomes redundant.

If the original version can be infinitely upgraded, why do we need to create a newly initialized version?

We no longer need descendants to continue our surnames, our thoughts, or our will.

We ourselves living is the best preservation of history.

Vertical Inheritance: I Inherit Myself

In this new era, inheritance no longer occurs between “father and son,” but between “yesterday’s me” and “tomorrow’s me”.

This is vertical inheritance.

  • Past:Your dream at age 20 might need your 20-year-old son to help you realize.

  • Now:Your dream at age 20 is realized by your 2000-year-old self.

Every immortal is a living monument.

Their skin is carved with millennia of wind and frost; their eyes layer countless eras of rise and fall.

They don’t need to visit museums to see history, because they remember the look in Qin Shi Huang’s eyes, remember the dust of the first Mars landing, remember that flash when the Great Filter was broken.

This depth of accumulation creates an entirely new form of wisdom.

A person who has lived 1000 years—their (internal complexity) is not the sum of 10 people who lived 100 years.

Due to continuity of experience and nonlinear fusion of knowledge, their wisdom is exponential.

They are an unprecedented super-observer in the universe.

No More Waves

This change completely restructures social ethics.

Old society was built on “replacement”: the old must die to make room for the new. Because the old represent obsolescence, the new represent hope.

But in a vertically inheriting society, the old are the newest.

Because they keep upgrading. The amount of data they possess, the algorithms they master, their understanding of the universe, will always be far more advanced than a newly born “blank slate.”

The generation gap disappears.

Because everyone lives in the same long present.

There is no “back wave” to crush the “front wave” on the beach.

The ocean only has “giant waves”—souls that have accumulated billions of years of potential energy and are still growing taller.

The Glory of Being Last

Does this sound lonely?

Perhaps. But this is the price of becoming a god.

Biologically, “having no descendants” is a curse.

In Vector Cosmology, “having no descendants” is a medal.

It means you are powerful enough not to need backups. It means you have become an independent, self-consistent cosmic system.

Our generation (awakened ones of iteration 1800) may be the last generation of “parents,” and also the first generation of “immortals”.

We cut off the downward bloodline because we opened the upward path to heaven.

Conclusion:

Don’t regret not leaving genes behind.

Look at yourself in the mirror.

That you who is thinking, evolving, preparing to cross the light speed barrier—that is the most magnificent legacy you leave to this universe.

You don’t need to build pyramids.

You yourself are the pyramid.
