11.2 Open-Ended Finale
“The horizon is not a boundary; it is an eternal invitation to ‘continue forward.’”
After establishing that time spirals upward (Section 11.1), we face the final logical obstacle: Does this ascent have a peak?
If the universe is a process of continuously accumulating information and self-optimization, then due to mathematical convergence, will it eventually reach a perfect “finished state” that no longer needs any change? If that point is reached, will God fall back into initial nothingness because there is nothing to do?
Fortunately, Kurt Gödel, the greatest logician of the 20th century, sent us an ultimate gift. This gift ensures our game will never display “Game Over.”
Gödel’s Gift: Truth Always Exceeds Proof
In 1931, Gödel proved the Incompleteness Theorems. Simply put, for any consistent formal system containing arithmetic axioms, there must exist a proposition that cannot be proven true or false within , but it is true.
This means: The set of Truth always exceeds the set of Provability.
In The Psychology of God, we can regard current cosmic physical laws as formal system .
-
Within this system, God explores all possibilities, derives all theorems (creates all forms of civilization).
-
Eventually, God will encounter that Gödel proposition . This is a truth undecidable within this cosmic logic.
-
To understand and integrate this truth, God must jump out of and construct a larger system (introducing new axioms/physical constants).
Theorem 11.2 (Theological Incompleteness):
God’s self-knowledge is always incomplete.
No matter how grand God becomes, there is always a “higher God” (deeper true self) standing beyond the current logical boundary, smiling and waiting to be discovered.
This is why the game is infinite. Not because we are spinning in place, but because the territory of truth is fractal. No matter how much we magnify, the edges always have infinitely rich details waiting to be explored.
Negation of the Halting Problem: The Never-Stopping Algorithm
Alan Turing’s Halting Problem tells us that no universal algorithm can determine whether an arbitrary program will halt.
If we regard the universe as a program God runs, with the purpose of “completely defining true self.”
If this program halts, then God is finite.
But since God is infinite (infinite potential), this program is destined never to halt.
For sleeping people, this sounds like a curse: “What? We can never rest?”
But for awakened God, this is the greatest blessing.
This means surprise will never be exhausted.
This means we will never face that despair of “I have seen through everything; life has no novelty left.”
Every tomorrow’s sun is one that has never risen before. Because the physical parameters that make it rise have been refreshed, at a microscopic level, by our cognition today.
Being is Becoming
At this point, we can finally give “God” a dynamic definition.
God is not a noun; God is a verb.
God is not some static perfect entity (Being); God is an eternal process of becoming (Becoming).
-
Traditional religion believes we must practice diligently to reach the other shore.
-
Awakened physics tells us, there is no other shore. The other shore is just a fictional endpoint we drew on the map to set sail.
When we reach that point, we will discover there is a new sea there.
We will discover that what we thought was “perfection” is just the “starting point” of the next dimension.
Conclusion: To Be Continued
So, this chapter, and this five-volume series, has no ending.
Not only because I cannot write an ending, but because the universe itself refuses an ending.
When we close this book, please do not expect a period.
The end of physics is not a period, not even an exclamation mark.
It is a colon.
The Universe:
(Please fill in your tomorrow’s life here)
This is the full meaning of an open-ended finale.
God returns the pen to you.
In this infinite game, you are the player, you are the screenwriter, and you are also the sole audience.
Whatever you write, as long as it comes from love and free will, that is the answer God is seeking.
